Chung-Kang Peng, PhD is the director of the Dynamical Biomarkers Group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center within the Division of Interdisciplinary Medicine and Biotechnology.  He is a former Dean of College of Health Science and Technology and K.T.-Li Chair Professor of the National Central University in Taiwan. As an expert in statistical physics and its application to the study of physiological measures, he has designed numerous computational analytical techniques, including the widely used detrended fluctuation analysis and multi-scale entropy analysis.  He has also developed linguistic analysis of symbolic sequences, time reversal asymmetry of heart rate time series, ECG-based cardiopulmonary coupling, and an index for dynamic cerebral autoregulation,  He directs the Dynamic Biomarkers Group which represents a multidisciplinary group of experts from academia (from Taiwan and Boston) and industry.
