Responsive imageDr. Yang is a psychiatrist and has leading expertise in the field of complexity science, particularly the quantification of complex dynamics of neurophysiologic signals. He is currently an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School (www.psynetresearch.org). He has led work in applying methods of complexity science to study and quantify neurophysiologic signals in mental illness, particularly to aging and cognitive function, schizophrenia, and sleep disorders. He currently leads a psychiatry-oriented sleep lab at the Department of Psychiatry, Taipei Veterans General Hospital.
